Writing about business and economics requires some specialist knowledge but also the good habits required by all journalists and an ability to express the more technical matters in simple language. Careless or unsubstantiated coverage, or the misunderstanding of financial matters, could have expensive consequences. Just repeating jargon can cause readers, listeners and viewers to 'switch off'.
